Our range is conveniently situated near West Ruislip Station, and there is easy access by British Rail, London Underground and local bus services. There is also ample car parking available.

Our current subscription is £30.00 per year, allowing members to shoot all disciplines. Junior Membership (i.e. under 18) is £18.00, and we offer a Family Membership for £37.50 which covers all members of the same family (living at the same address).

Ruislip Rifle Club is one of about 20 clubs serving residents of Middlesex; other nearby clubs include Harrow, 1st Ealing, Stanmore and Hendon. More details of Middlesex clubs can be found on the Middlesex Small-Bore Rifle Association web site. The National Smallbore Rifle Association can also help you find a local club.

We are active in the following disciplines:-

Smallbore Rifle

The firing points - 4 at 25 yards, 3 at 10m / 20 yards

The Club's indoor 25 yard range is open for Smallbore (.22) Rifle twice a week. The 4 firing points are shared equally by people of all shooting abilities. Beginners receive individual instruction from qualified instructors. Weekends will often see some of our members shooting outdoors at nearby 50m and 100 yard ranges.

10m Air Rifle and Air Pistol

We have a 5 lane 10m airgun range fully equipped with electric target changers. The range has been recently constructed to meet current standards. Beginners receive individual instruction from qualified instructors.

Lightweight Sport Rifle

The Club's indoor range is also open twice a week for Lightweight Sport Rifle (LWSR), "Longarm" Pistol and airgun shooting. The LWSR discipline is shot at 20 yards, typically using Ruger 1022's or similar. Some members have invested in the new Longarm single-shot .22 pistols since their ratification by the ISSU.

Longarm Pistol

Longarm Pistols are accepted by the ISSU (International Shooting Sports Union) for top level pistol competitions, yet are not classified by this country's firearms legislation as "short firearms", and are therefore not subject to the pistol ban. They have a long barrel, and counterbalancing arms that project towards the rear either side of the shooter's arm.

Air Pistol

At Ruislip, Air Pistols are shot side by side with Lightweight Sporting Rifle and Longarm Pistol. Predominantly our members shoot the Long Range Air Pistol discipline (i.e. 20 yards).

Fullbore Rifle

A number of our members spend their weekends shooting fullbore rifle competitions at Bisley. As with smallbore, our members are also to be found in the Middlesex County Fullbore team on a regular basis. Fullbore shooting uses different rifles, usually with a calibre of 7.62mm, and competitions are shot over ranges of 300 yards to 1000 yards.
